Just to note that DSTV is below par on service delivery. I was as at September 2021 an extra view subscriber with two Model45 decoders. It worked perfectly until then. The secondary decoder stopped working.Â
My first complaint at a local DSTV outlet recommended change of cables, I did, it did not work.Â
Second complaint at the same outlet recommended a change of the connection and it still did not work.Â
My third complaint at the DSTV main office Abuja, recommended a change of the secondary decoder to Model 8S. Iwas made to pay for it and it did not work.Â
Upon my fourth complaint at the same office, I was told it the local technician that are incompetent. A technician was recommended. I contacted the technician and he came again he recommended change of cables and reconnected, it did not work. He then alluded to the need to opt for a smart LNB. I noted that the local technician had brought a smart LNB to troubleshoot and it did not work.Â
On the fifth complaint at the office, the Manager spoke extensively to convince me to agree to pay for the smart LNB as a solution, but I affimed that the optio had been explored before without success. He concluded that if it does not work I will be refunded. It did not work.Â
Note that the above spanned between September 2021 and March 2022. With all the back and forth and the needless expenditures and the stress; I did not get the extra view service paid for consistently.Â
As I have always insisted, whatever wss done today 14th March 2022 to restore the extra view was done at the DSTV office end in Abuja. Therefore all the back and forth is their error and inadequacy. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT SATISFACTORY. In this whole saga, I have spent roughly N23,500 for your service failure. I demand an appropriate redress.
